Title: Beyond the limit of powder diffraction in high-pressure crystallography
要旨：
Powder diffraction techniques are convenient for identifying multiphase samples as well as tracking phase transitions. However, it is inferior to single-crystal diffraction for crystal structure analysis due to the limited number of independent reflections observed and severe peak overlap. In addition, Qmax is limited in high-pressure angle-dispersive diffractograms collected with diamond anvil cells, making data analyses even more challenging. In this talk, I will discuss potential ways of overcoming difficulties in structure analysis by powder diffraction. I will show with my recent datasets how such advanced techniques help with detailed structural analysis.
